PROGEA Training Courses
ProGeA conducts first-class training courses throughout the year.
Training courses are generally organized at the headquarters of ProGeA in Bologna, Italy, or on-line.
Customized training or on site training can be arranged upon request.
Classes are given in Italian or English.
TOPKAPI TRAINING COURSES
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSE ON TOPKAPI MODEL
Duration: 3 days (18 hours) - FRONTAL LESSONS
Venue: PROGEA's office in Bologna, Italy
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of hydrology and
some experience in using a GIS software.
Professional training provides insights in the underlying physics of TOPKAPI model. Participants will learn how to implement and calibrate TOPKAPI on a hydrological basin using GIS tools and the graphical interface of the model.
Training course program includes:
- General introduction to TOPKAPI model physics and equations
- General introduction to MapWindow GIS software
- Pre-processing GIS maps and building the model scheme
- Preparing hydro-meteorological input data
- Default parameters and model calibration
- Analysis of model results: watershed balance, time series and hydrological state maps.
- Implementation of TOPKAPI model on a case study
The course is usually held at the headquarters of PROGEA srl, in Bologna, Italy, but it can also be arranged on site.
The course dates are flexible and are agreed with the participants.
WEB-BASED PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSE ON TOPKAPI MODEL
Durata: 4 half-days (14 hours) - FRONTAL LESSONS
Venue: Web-based
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of hydrology and some experience in using
any GIS software
The web-based professional training course on TOPKAPI model provides all the information needed to understand the physics of the model.
The course program is the same as the in-house course and allows participants to learn how to implement and calibrate TOPKAPI on a hydrological basin using GIS tools and the graphical interface of the model.
The course is delivered through a software for on-line training that allows participants to interact with the teacher and ask questions.
Dates and class times are flexible and are agreed with the participants.
